“Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” – Matthew 25: 31-46

47 schools in the Diocese of Hallam, 19 are Voluntary Aided, 28 are Academies of these 23 are Single Academy Trusts.

We support 16,700 children and young people in our schools, 3400 are from the most deprived backgrounds, 2000 have special educational needs or disabilities and 2800 have English as an additional language.

The Diocese of Hallam has long shared a vision for all schools to be part of high achieving Catholic MATs with a strong moral purpose around delivering the best possible experiences for our most vulnerable pupils.  Proposals have been in the making since November 2017 and these are now being developed further to secure the right model for schools in the Diocese of Hallam.   Bishop Ralph wrote to all schools in January 2021 setting out his intention and the MAT Steering Group issued an update document in February 2021 summarising the vision.   We are now working on the delivery of this vision following the approval of the whole project by the East Midlands and Humber Regional School’s Commissioner on 15th December 2021.  Click on the documents below to read more about this exciting development.

The governance arrangements for the Catholic Multi Academy Trusts are set out below.  Scroll down to access links to the key governance and model legal documents.  Further documents will be uploaded to this page as soon as they are developed.
