Rev Humphries is parish priest of Our Lady and St James at Worsbrough, and Holy Rood in Barnsley. He is also the Dean of the Barnsley Deanery, Episcopal Vicar for Religious in the Diocese and a member of the College of Consultors. He represents Diocesan Religious on the Council of Priests and serves on the Diocesan Historic Churches Committee.
For a number of years Rev Humphries was a Benedictine Monk with the Community of St Laurence at Ampleforth, serving both in the College and on the parishes, latterly as Prior Parish Priest and Guardian of the Shrine at Our Lady of Mount Grace, Osmotherley.
