Rev Dr Tony Strike was ordained Permanent Deacon in 2004. He has served Sacred Heart Parish, Hillsborough, since 2012. He is Diocesan Director of the Guild of St Stephen, Assistant Director for Diaconal Selection and Formation, and a member of the executive of the National Diaconal Conference. He retired from the University of Sheffield in 2022 as University Secretary after a career in governance, strategy, planning and human resources in the NHS and universities. His PhD (2009) was in higher education policy and he is editor of several related textbooks. Rev Strike became a Trustee in March 2023. He enjoys hill walking in the Peaks.
