The deepest thanks go to all in the Diocese of Hallam who supported Saint Mark’s Way, as Pilgrims journeyed from Leeds, via Sheffield to Nottingham September 6th – 13th 2025.
The welcome we received at the Parish of Corpus Christi, the Cathedral Church of St Marie’s and Padley Chapel was simply outstanding.
Saint Mark’s Way offered us all the opportunity to participate in one single collective prayer. It involved route planning, connecting Dioceses, parish welcomes, visiting spiritual sites that ‘bridged time’, saying the Angelus and the Rosary along the Way and ultimately being blessed with the celebration of the holy Mass.
The Diocese of Leeds gifted us with 2,000 Saint Mark’s Way prayer cards, which were distributed to 14 parishes and 3 schools along the Way, so that people could participate as ‘Prayer Pilgrims’.
A daily diary of the Pilgrimage is available on the Diocese of Leeds website in the News section.
