What is it?
This programme is a combination of in-put and experiential learning, on-line and in-person, in three stages, with teaching, spiritual accompaniment, faith sharing and learning, being offered by the Jesuit Institute and the team from Hallam Diocese Formation and Mission.
You will learn ways to build understanding and skills in praying and listening to help you to develop your relationship with God. In time, you will also have the opportunity to consider your mission and whether God is inviting you to further study, towards the ministry of accompanying others on their spiritual journey.

What does Spiritual Listening mean?
Spiritual Listening is being open to the Holy Spirit when listening to the Spirit and others.
What does Spiritual Accompaniment mean?
Spiritual Accompaniment is the art of walking alongside someone on their faith journey, helping them to notice the Holy Spirit communicating with them in their everyday lives. It can be very helpful to have Spiritual Accompaniment (sometimes called Spiritual Direction) at various times in your life, for example, if you feel you would like to learn more about where God is speaking to you, if you feel stuck in your prayers. Having the experience of being accompanied will be part of the first stage of this programme.
Who is it for?
For anyone, Catholic or non-Catholic, interested in developing and exploring their spiritual life, their God-given talents and discerning God’s invitation in their life.
