Update from DBS regarding new ID guidelines in line with Right to Work

Dear all,
I hope this email finds you and yours very well.
As some of you may already be aware, new ID guidance has been produced by DBS to comply with new Right to work requirements.
The new guidance comes into effect from tomorrow 1 July 2021, however the existing ID checking guidelines will remain on GOV.UK alongside the new guidelines, until 1 October 2021.

(The temporary changes that were made to the ID checking guidance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic are not affected by the above changes, and you can continue to operate in line with these).

PLEASE NOTE:

Even though DBS allows new and old guidance to be used until 1 October 2021, CSSA will establish an implementation date as our processing systems E-Bulk and PAMIS will at that date only support the new guidance. CSSA has created new guidance forms for 3a and 3b, but they will not be active until the implementation date. We will of course keep you informed.

Please find the relevant links further below.
With best wishes and thanks,

Alicia
