Colombia earthquake: NGO warns of trafficking risk for children

The humanitarian emergency that has hit the South American country following the August 10 earthquake risks undermining social cohesion in the hardest-hit rural areas. Entire families there are still lacking basic necessities. “The main risk is that families will be separated and children will end up in the hands of trafficking networks,” warns Stefano Piziali, director general of the NGO Cesvi.
