On the Feast of Christ the King, National Youth Sunday, Bishop Ralph commissioned a number of young people with various mandates. We met together in St Mary Madgalene’s parish, Maltby.
The youngest came from feeder schools for St Bernard’s and belonged to a “GIFT team”; the older young people were JX10 Chaplaincy team for St Bernard’s and the oldest were from across the Diocese part of the Youth Leadership Team.
The Diocesan Youth Leadership team is a group of young people aged 15-18 who are recognised leaders in their parishes or schools and have been nominated by their priest or chaplain. They meet together every half term to get to know each other, share their faith journey, have fun and accompany Bishop Ralph to find innovative ways of engaging others.
