Pilgrimage sites and routes across the Diocese of Hallam are being explored. The Diocese of Hallam’s ‘Pilgrim Passport’ will soon be available, with further information. It will be a tremendous way to explore the spiritual meaning of Pilgrimage and the faith heritage of our Diocese.
Pilgrimages do not all have to be ‘walking journeys’. A journey by whatever means, with a spiritual purpose and destination is a pilgrimage. In that sense, every time we go to Mass to receive the Blessed Sacrament, is a pilgrimage in itself.
Pope Francis has asked members of the Universal Church to go on one special, additional pilgrimage as ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ in the Jubilee ‘Year of Hope’ 2025. Our ‘Pilgrim passport’ information sheet will help with this. We look forward to sharing details of ‘Hallam’s Pilgrim Ways’. Those already established in our Diocese and to explore new ones for the future.
