Catherine Bailey

Catherine Bailey was appointed Trustee of the Hallam Diocese with a focus on Safeguarding in support of caring for others. Catherine has 43 years’ experience as a nurse in the NHS working within the clinical specialties of Critical Care and Musculoskeletal services. As a senior nurse her responsibilities included leading on the delivery of patient care, safety and services, staff wellbeing, operational matters and all things governance. Catherine received the NHS England’s Chief Nurse Gold Medal award in 2021 and the British Empire Medal in 2023 for services to Nursing. Catherine is also a Trustee for Firth Homes Alms Houses.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her mother and family, socialising, singing, countryside and coastal path walking, sailing, problem solving and just generally embracing new experiences and opportunities.
