The Pope, the Environmental Crisis, and Frontline Leaders | The Letter: Laudato Si Film

On October 4, YouTube Originals released the grand documentary film, The Letter, telling the story of the Laudato Si’ encyclical letter and how the climate crisis is strongly affecting the Earth and all those who inhabit it. The film premiere was in Vatican City on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis, and hours it is available to watch now on YouTube for free by everyone.

This film is the fruit of several years of partnership between the Laudato Si’ Movement, the production company Off the Fence, and the Vatican

We hear the voice of Pope Francis, of Ridhima, a teenage youth activist from India; of Cacique Dada, an indigenous leader from the Amazon; of Arouna, a climate refugee from Senegal; and of Robin and Greg, two scientists from Hawaii.

Their words are prophetic and moving.
