On 5th December 2022 Mrs. Peggy Leonora McGloin died at the age of 90 years.
Her funeral took place on 20th December at the Mother of God Church on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield.
The requiem Mass was very well attended by parishioners, friends, Peggy’s husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Monsignor William Kilgannon was the celebrant assisted by Rev. Fr. Stephen Ssekiwunga.
Peggy worked hard to support the Walsingham Shrine. She remained a member of the Sheffield branch of the Walsingham Association and was President twice until 2019. She was a member of the Union of Catholic Mothers in the Mother of God Parish and was involved in many aspects of the Parish in her younger day. Peggy was devoted to the Church and her family and will be greatly missed.
