St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is very successful because we have high expectations of every member of our school community. We strive to be the very best that we can be, and to let our light shine for Jesus.
Our curriculum is vibrant and relevant to modern life. We strive to make learning fun and accessible to all by using ‘Kagan Cooperatve Learning’ techniques and ‘Thinking Maps’. Maths and English are taught daily and have a high priority, and any child who struggles to understand a learning theme gets same day intervention to help them keep up. We also have six key learning behaviours that we focus on to help children build life skills such as resilience and collaboration.
The Catholic life of the school shines out through high quality RE teaching, a strong Chaplaincy Team, uplifting shared worship, our dedicated Pastoral Worker, and our school charity work.
St Mary’s is a family that cares for each other, encourages each other, and supports each other.
