The Roman Catholic Diocese of Hallam is part of the Catholic Church in England.
The Diocese comprises the whole of the City of Sheffield, and the surrounding towns of Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield and the Peak District and areas of Worksop and Retford.
We are looking to recruit a Diocesan Safeguarding Co-ordinator to lead in the
implementation and management of safeguarding policy and practice within the
Diocese, and to develop and deliver safeguarding training to clergy, safeguarding
representatives and parish volunteers, in line with national training standards
and provide ongoing support as required.
The candidate must have a minimum of three years professional safeguarding-
related experience and have a clear and effective understanding of working with
multi agencies to support the welfare of children and adults who may be at risk.
Permanent contract – 80 hours per month (working pattern negotiable)
£37,000 per annum – (FTE)
25 days holidays (pro-rata) plus statutory holidays
Eligibility to join employer’s contributory pension scheme
